Society Salver Competition
The Club hosted our second annual competition for The Societies Silver Salver on Thursday9th Sep 2011.
The day started with a coffee reception and shotgun start. The teams battled through one or two heavy showers, but their spirits were not dampened and some good scores were returned.
This year’s honours go to The Railway Arms GS who returned a total of 128 points, with Bushfoot Seniors taking the runners up spot.
The ?competition was enjoyed by all who took part and teams are already expressing an interest in next year. The competition can accommodate 18 four-balls and is open any society playing at the club during the year.
The format for 2012 will allow societies to enter more than one four-ball team. The cost of the Society Salver day will be £60 per team.
The day will include coffee reception, round of golf, a meal, an award of the Societies Salver to the winning team, press coverage, a replica salver for the winning team to keep in their trophy cabinet and a £50 GUI voucher.
Next years competition will be held on Thursday 27th Sep 2012. If you would like to enter the competition, please forward your details to the Club.
